Paper Photos 1840 - Present. This was a late 1800's photo of a roof of a grocery store after a fire left it setting in the middle of the street. Atkins, Iowa

Paper Salt Prints

This was the earliest form of photograph on plain salted paper made without a paper negative. This process was also used to copy Daguerreotypes but was later replaced with egg white coating on paper and then chemical emulsions. The paper emulsions and types changed rapidly from 1839 to present day.
